Cuc Phuong National Park

(2 days 1 night - tour code CPNP02)

With 25,000 hectares and 140km South of Hanoi. The Park’s primary tropical rainforest is home to an amazing variety of wildlife. There are almost 2000 species of trees and amongst them lives some amazing and rare animals including the Clouded leopard, Delacour’s Langur, Owston’s Civet, Otters and Asian Black Bears.

Day 1: Hanoi -Van Long - Cuc Phuong

7h30, Depart from Hanoi by private car to Van Long Nature Reserve. We have an one-hour rowing boat trip. The Van Long submerged land, covering an area of 2,643 hectares, is the largest sub-merged natural protected site in North Vietnam.
Arriving at Cuc Phuong, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center to learn about the important work being done to help protect the endangered species of the park.
In the evening you and the national park’ guide will enter the pitch-dark forest and using a spotting lamp, go and search of the forest numerous nocturnal creatures. Overnight at National Park Guest House.


Day 2: Cuc Phuong - Hanoi

After the sounds of the jungle have lulled you to sleep, you will awake refreshed and for another walk before breakfast to the botanical garden, listen to the gibbons and bird singing.
After breakfast, you will trek for four hours, passing limestone slopes and trees over a millennia old. The destination is an ancient tree in the hope of seeing Cuc Phuong mascot and one of the rarest primates on the planet, the Delacour langur.
15h00, drive back to Ha Noi, tour ends around 18h00.
