Ba Be Lake

Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake

Leaving Hanoi early in the morning, we will go north to Ba Be Lake. The trip takes us through the Red River Delta and up into the mountain areas north of Hanoi. As we progress north, the scenery becomes more and more impressive. From our lunch stop it is only around 3 hours to Ba Be national park, then we arrive at the Tay village of Pac Ngoi.

Day 2: Ba Be Lake

After breakfast at our guesthouse, we drive to the lake where we take our private boat for a cruise. Weather permitting; we can have a swim in the crystal clear waters before having lunch. Then you head to ethnic villages around the lake such as a small Tay village called Hua Tang, a visit to it will enable us to witness how little the lives of the people in these remote areas have changed. Day 3: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi

In the morning we will start our return journey to Hanoi. We will make a stop at the interesting Thai Nguyen Ethnology Museum.
Arrival in Hanoi by mid afternoon.
