Sapa Light Trek

Sapa is an incredibly picturesque village that lies on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range near the Chinese border in North West Vietnam. It is called as "the Tonkinese Alps" You can see many ethnic group, their villages, rice terraces, lush vegetation, and Fansipan, highest peak in Vietnam.

Night 1: 20h30 – Take a private coach to Hanoi Railway Station and catch the night train to Lao Cai (soft sleeper with air-conditioning).

Day 1: Cat Cat village
6h00 - Arrive in Lao Cai. The bus trip to Sa Pa takes a little more than an hour giving you an idea of the impressive paddy fields panorama. Check into your hotel. 13h00 - Start trekking to Cat Cat (4-5 km) and visit the Hmong ethnic group walking in the paddy –fields. After that, down into the valley, you can see the old hydroelectric power station building (which was built by the French in 1925). Overnight in your hotel.

Day 2: Lao Chai – Ta Van village
In the morning, start trekking (8 km) down the valley along local paths and across rice paddies to visit Black Hmong and Giay ethnic groups. Have a picnic lunch along the way. Our jeep picks you up back to Sa Pa. 18h00 - Bus from hotel in Sa Pa to Lao Cai.
Start 21h to 22h - Night train back to Hanoi (soft sleeper with air-conditioning).

Night 3: 5am - Trip ends at Hanoi Railway Station.
