Sea and Mountain Tour

This tour includes various interests: culture, beaches, local ethnic villages, adventure, colorful market and waterways... It will lead you to Hanoi – Ha Long bay – Sapa – Bac Ha - Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An – Nha Trang – Saigon - Mekong Delta - Cuchi tunnels

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

We welcome you at the airport, transfer to your our hotel, then free afternoon. You will enjoy Vietnamese food at a nice restaurant in the evening. Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi

In the morning you will visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and the Temple of Literature, the first national university in Vietnam built in 1076
In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology to discover a little about the 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. Discover the Old Quarter Street by traditional cycle. Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay

Drive to Ha Long city for about 3 hours. Transfer to Deluxe Junk, lunch with fresh seafood. Start a 4 hours cruise into Ha Long Bay to see the amazing karsts with different forms, floating fishing village.
Afterwards, take a smaller boat to the kayaking area where you will be given a lesson on safety and paddling by our expert guide. Then visit Luon cave, enjoy swimming, sun bathing at Ti Top beach. Overnight on the boat.

Day 3: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi

Enjoy the sunrise, have breakfast before discover Surprise Cave with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle’s nose.
You will return to Hanoi at 16h00.
In the evening we will board a soft sleeper train to Sapa. Overnight on the train

Day 4: Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van villages

6h00 - Arrive in Lao Cai. The bus trip to Sapa takes a little more than an hour giving you an idea of the impressive paddy fields panorama.
Check into your hotel. Start trekking (8 km) down the valley along local paths and across rice paddies to visit Black Hmong and Giay ethnic groups.
Overnight in a house on wooden pillars of the Giay people or the hotel in Sapa (you can choose which).

Day 5: Cat Cat village

After breakfast, Start trekking to Cat Cat (4-5 km) and visit the Hmong ethnic group walking in the paddy –fields. After that, down into the valley, you can see the old hydroelectric power station building (which was built by the French in 1925). Overnight at a hotel in Sapa.

Day 6: Bac Ha Market (Saturday only)

In the morning, we will take you to Bac Ha area (about 3 hours). Bac Ha is famous for its Saturday market specializing in animals such as: pigs, horses, dog’s goats and cats. It remains very authentic. The market is also an opportunity for the local Flower Hmong to organize parties where they show their most colorful clothes. Then we will walk to Ban Pho village. Return to Lao Cai and night in the train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 7: Hanoi

Arrive in Hanoi early in the morning. Free day. In the evening you may enjoy the famous water puppet show one of the traditional arts of Vietnam. Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hue

Flight to Hue in the morning. Hue, the former capital of Vietnam (1802 – 1945) under the Nguyen Dynasty), is known as the city of peace and poetry. The city is charming and has a romantic atmosphere.
In the afternoon, you discover the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. Overnight at a hotel in Hue.

Day 9: Hue

With a small sampan we make a cruise upstream the Perfume River to visit the famous Thien Mu Pagoda and king Minh Mang’s grave. We will continue our visit at one of the most romantic places of the area; the complex of king Tu Duc’s grave, located in lust vegetations. The grave combines majesty with oriental charm. Overnight at a hotel in Hue

Day 10: Hue – Hoi An

On the road from one former capital to another historical place, you will see Lang Co beach, Hai Van pass and the Marble Mountains. We will stop in Da Nang to visit the Cham Museum (the Cham are one of the ethnic ethnic of South of Vietnam). Then you will arrive in Hoi An. Free evening. Overnight at a hotel in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoi An

This ancient town was recognized by UNESCO as being a World Culture Heritage in 1999. Hoi An used to serve as an active trading port with the Japanese, Portuguese, Dutch and Chinese merchants during the 17th and 18th centuries. The streets, houses and architecture remain ‘untouched’ despite a turbulent history. You will visit the Japanese covered bridge and Tan Ky ancient house. Overnight at a hotel in Hoi An.

Day 12: Hoi An

Explore Hoi An by yourself. You can walk in the old quarter or cross picturesque fields or ask a tailor to make you a silk dress. Overnight at a hotel in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Nha Trang

Morning is at leisure. Drive to Da Nang airport for the flight to Nha Trang. On arrival you will be picked-up by our guide and driver to hotel for your accommodation. Free afternoon to relax, swim or enjoy sunbathing. Overnight at a hotel in Nha Trang.

Day 14: Nha Trang

You will spend a nice time on the boat and visit a fishing village. You will be able to enjoy Nha Trang paradise beaches, the most beautiful ones in Vietnam. Overnight at a hotel in Nha Trang

Day 15: Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh city (Saigon)

All day free to relax, swim or enjoy sunbathing. In the evening we will take you to the train to Saigon. Overnight on the train.

Day 16: Saigon

You will arrive in Saigon early in the morning. You will spend the day visiting the Independence Palace, the US War crimes museum and discovering the endless activities of the city. Overnight at a hotel in Saigon

Day 17: Saigon - Mekong Delta

We will take you by car to Caibe market and you will drive through Mekong Delta to Caibe floating market and visit the fruit and bonsai gardens. You take the boat to Vinh Long town where you discover beautiful islands and then to Cantho. Overnight at a hotel in Can Tho

Day 18: Mekong Delta - Saigon

Morning an excursion on the endless waterways of the Mekong River. Visit Phong Dien floating market. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Saigon. Overnight at a hotel in Sai Gon

Day 19: Cuchi tunnels – Cao Dai Temple

Full day excursion to visit Cu Chi Tunnels and the temple of Cao Dai religion. Visit rice-paper making village and traditional brick factories. Overnight at a hotel in Sai Gon.

Day 20: Saigon free day - Departure

The last day is free until the departure to Saigon airport.
