Nam Cat Tien National Park

(2 days 1 night - tour code NCTNP02)

This park covers 74,000 hectares of lowland forest and swamp. Located 160 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Nam Cat Tien is reported to have 600 varieties of plants, 240 types of birds and 50 species of mammals, including the one-horned Javan rhinoceros, one of the several endangered mammals in Vietnam listed in the World Red Book. Other mammals include Elephant, Gaur and tiger. Many birds can be found, including such specialties as Germain’s Peacock Pheasant, Bar-bellied Pitta and the rare endemic Orange-necked Partridge.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City - Nam Cat Tien

After breakfast, we will set off for the 4 hours drive north to Nam Cat Tien National Park. The terrain rises up gradually via volcanic area. Crossing the Dong Nai river to enter the Cat Tien National Park.
We begin our wildlife experience. Afternoon, we do a three hour trekking to through the Reserved Core Area. We will see many kinds of hundreds of years old trees.
After dinner, we board our jeep car to Crocodile Lake in the park for wild animals’ night life watching. We will spend the night in a tree house (the house that is in the tree using for seeing wild animal) situated in the center of the park.


Day 2: Nam Cat Tien - Ho Chi Minh City

Rising early to the sounds of the forest, we will have breakfast before boarding our boats as we spend the morning for a short trek.
In the afternoon we return to Ho Chi Minh City.
