(2 days 1 night - tour code PNVP02)

Phong Nha Caves are the complex of 14 grottoes situated in a region of Limestone Mountains in Ke Bang National Park. Phong Nha Cave have a total length of 7,729 m. Phong Nha cave were listed as a World Natural Heritage Site in July of 2003 by Unesco. This exciting excursion includes the intricate tunnels at Vinh Moc in the DMZ (De-Militarized Zone) created by the North Vietnamese during the War.

Day 1: Hue - Vinh Moc Tunnels - Dong Hoi

In the morning we drive out of Hue. On the way we stop at Quang Tri. This town was once an important citadel city, some of the original walls and gates still remain. From here we go to Vinh Moc and the amazing 2.8kms of tunnels. Unlike others in Cu Chi in Southern Vietnam, the Vinh Moc tunnels are not ruined and therefore offer an authentic view of underground life. We enter the tunnels and explore the underground passageways. Later we retire to the town of Dong Hoi for the night.

Day 2: Dong Hoi - Phong Nha cave - Hue

We drive to the Son River where we take a boat trip to Phong Nha cave at Ke Bang national park. This park contains the largest primeval forest in Vietnam and the biggest limestone mountain range on the planet.
The most impressive cave - Phong Nha cave is probably the most beautiful with many fascinating rock formations. Phong Nha cave also has underground rivers, passageways and sandbanks. Following our exploration of the caves we return to Dong Hoi for lunch before driving back to Hue.
